I don’t do well in heat.
Actually, we as a family don’t do well with rising temperatures. We get irritable, moody and downright mean.
I remember this all starting in the summer of 2001. Up until then, I didn’t mind the heat too much. I rather basked in it to attain a golden hue.
I even traveled to hot countries with not a care in the world as to what temperature I would encounter.
So in 2001, my husband and I ventured to Italy for five weeks in the dead of summer. Notice I used a bad connotation with the word summer? Dead.
It was sooo stinkin’ hot, that both my husband and I experienced a mild panic attack. It may have been the crowds + the heat + lack of breeze, but it equalled to the demise of our love of warm weather.
I will spare you all the details of how the heat ruined some of our trip. Needless to say, we will NEVER travel to Europe in the summer months ever again!!
So here in Vancouver we are in for a heat wave these next few days.
I’m prepared…fans, air conditioner, blinds closed, doors closed and weekend reading awaiting.
I pray we will all make it through till the end of this hideous weather.
I live in Canada for a reason folks!!
