Pooh Bear has been in the family for about 10 1/2 yrs. My good friend Kriss bought him for my eldest son on his First Christmas.
Pooh Bear went everywhere with my son. He would suck on his soother and use his pointer finger to rub Pooh Bear’s paw. He rubbed it so much that I eventually had to sew it because it left a hole.
Pooh Bear even traveled to Mexico with us back in 2007. We had such a good time that we left Pooh Bear on the bed back in our hotel room. When I got home I soon realized that we left Pooh Bear back at the hotel. I felt sick to my stomach.
I immediately called the hotel and had them look back in our room for the bear.
They contacted me back and said they found him. There was one problem though…they couldn’t mail it back to us for reasons I’m still unsure of. So long story short; friends of ours were heading to Mexico a few weeks later (not our hotel) and they graciously agreed to pass by our hotel to retrieve the stuffy. Thank goodness!
We joke and say that Pooh Bear wanted an extended vacation; he was probably sitting on the beach sipping tequila! Lol
This lovey has been quite a member of our family. His importance in my son’s life has lessened. He doesn’t ask to sleep with Pooh Bear anymore. Although he will if Pooh Bear is close by.
It saddens me to see him needing him less and less. His “little boy” stage is slowly fading. The tween years are upon us.
I will ALWAYS keep Pooh Bear. I will gift it to my son when he has his first child.
He is well loved! All my son’s sweet childhood memories are wrapped up in this “tubby little cubby all stuffed with fluff!”
Pooh Bear today!
